Today our Green Ambassadors were sent to the "Great Outdoors" to collect data as amateur botanists - much like our good friend Charles Darwin did.
  • We searched for a plant that was available in or around our CCS Lawn
  • Wrote 5-10 descriptive sentences about our plant
  • Glued or Taped out plant species into our notebook (making pressed floral/plant documents)

We started to come up with a list of questions that we should ask - if we were to become better Amateur Botanists.

Questions to Ask as a Botanist?
  • Where was the plant found? (City, State - Location)
  • When was the plant found? (Date/Season/Time)
  • Did the plant have flowers?
    • What color were the flowers?
    • How many flowers did the plant have?
    • What was the texture of the flowers?
    • What was the shape of the flowers?
We shall continue our exploration of Botany next week, when we add more questions to our list.

HOMEWORK: Work on prodigy at least 1-2 hours by the time we meet again next week.
